Robin, Janis, Susan, Terri, Lynn, Jane, and Kim met in Jane's studio to prepare 30 paper bag books, as party favors for the upcoming Founders' Day celebration. It is to be held at the Racine Public Library, so brainstorming has brought up the idea of a book theme. Robin created the invitation which you can see here. It will also be a celebration of Tau's 50th anniversary, so we used lots of gold doo-dads to embellish the books. Each book was unique and different.
The pockets contained the Program,
and a Thank-You note with a candy packet (gold coins, of course!)
The other pages contained a History page,
a Fraternity Education Quiz with hidden answers,
and our Song, which we sang at the close of the program.
There was also a hidden ticket for our door prizes, the centerpieces,
with three possible winners.
Even the backs of the books were decorated.
We sure had fun! Here we are, working on the books together.
There was a triumphant cheer each time one was placed in the bag marked "DONE."
