Char arranged another lovely after-school Tea to which we invited guests who might be interested in joining. The students in the Culinary Academy graciously planned and prepared our delightful and substantial feast.
She
also arranged a speaker who addressed the problem of homelessness and foster
care and her role in assuring continuity for affected children. This is Melissa, the Social Worker in RUSD's Families in Transition program. Her talk coordinated with the book club selection "Evicted," by Matthew Desmond.
You can see we were enthralled and very moved.
After a few days Char sent us this news. Her program for us was featured in the district Friday Focus Library Corner. Go Char!
